Budget noise-canceling headphones reach record low of $106.49

Consumers looking for affordable audio gear can buy the Soundcore Space 2 noise-canceling headphones for $106.49 today. The price represents a $23 discount from the regular list price and is the lowest the model has ever cost.

The sale is currently active at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. All three color options for the headphones are included in the promotion.

The Space 2 serves as the successor to the Space One, which launched in 2023. John Higgins of The Verge previously identified the Space One as one of the best budget noise-canceling options available. While the newer model carries a list price that is $30 higher than its predecessor, the current discount reduces that difference.

The primary technical upgrades in the Space 2 involve active noise cancellation and sound accuracy. Soundcore states that the new design suppresses low-frequency sounds more effectively, such as those generated by train tracks or airplane engines. The headphones also feature high-resolution LDAC audio support and HearID 3.0. This software personalizes the audio output by analyzing user responses to a series of test samples.

Battery performance has increased compared to the original model. With noise cancellation enabled, the Space 2 provides up to 50 hours of playback, up from 40 hours on the previous version. When noise cancellation is disabled, the battery lasts up to 70 hours, compared to 55 hours on the older unit.

The headphones include a 3.5mm audio jack for wired listening and a sensor that pauses playback automatically when the device is removed from the head. This feature allows users to resume audio at the exact point where they stopped.

The Verge describes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation due to its improved noise cancellation and sound quality over the original model.
