Newegg has lowered the price of the ABS Stratos II Ruby pre-built gaming PC to $2,549.99. This represents a $450 reduction from the original list price for the system.
The computer is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. It also includes 32GB of DDR5 memory. ABS functions as a house brand for Newegg, which accounts for the wide availability of its systems on the retailer's website.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an eight-core chip that utilizes AMD's 3D V-Cache technology. This feature increases the available Level 3 cache to 96MB. A larger cache reduces the frequency with which the processor accesses slower system memory, resulting in lower latency and more consistent frame rates. Tom's Hardware identifies the chip as a top performer for gaming, noting that no Intel processor matches an X3D part in this category.
The graphics card is part of Nvidia's Blackwell generation. It features 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. The hardware is designed for 1440p and 4K gaming and supports DLSS with multi-frame generation. According to Tom's Hardware, the card can handle 4K gaming with ray tracing in current titles, though users may need to adjust settings in the most demanding games.
The system's remaining specifications include two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB memory modules running at 6,000 MT/s. Storage is provided by a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet. The processor is cooled by a Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler.
Tom's Hardware states that the Stratos II Ruby is currently the cheapest RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC available on Newegg. The outlet describes the current pricing as strong for the market due to the discount and the specific combination of the 9800X3D processor and RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. The report expects the offer to sell out quickly.
