A husband from Stockport in Greater Manchester has pleaded guilty to more than 60 offences against his wife after inviting other men to rape and sexually assault her. The man, who is in his 60s, cannot be named to protect the anonymity of the victim. Prosecutors told the jury that he arranged for an increasing number of individuals to visit their home to satisfy his own desires.
Nine men are currently on trial at Manchester Minshull Street crown court. They are accused of either taking part in the abuse or encouraging it online while hiding behind the screens of their mobile telephones and computers. Four other men, Sean Peers, Graham Brougham, Keith Fotheringham, and Karl Lindsay, have pleaded guilty to offences against the same woman. All will be sentenced alongside the husband at a later date.
Prosecutor Louise Oakley KC stated that by the start of January 2025, the husband had no intention of stopping his offending. In early 2025, Philip Wild, 59, and Mohammed Sabir, 28, both from Stockport, sexually abused the woman one after the other in a single night. Wild was fully aware the woman was not conscious and could not consent. Sabir knew before entering the bedroom and never sought her consent. The husband later asked Sabir to write a review on a swingers website. The post described the encounter as easy to set up and expressed hope to meet again soon.
In May 2025, the husband contacted Jordan Wallace, 31, a building supplies employee from Wythenshawe, through the site. Wallace was fully aware the wife was unconscious. The husband recalled that Wallace got rough and had to be pushed away. Wallace later apologized but asked to be sent videos of the incident, which were provided to him. He denies rape and attempted rape.
In June 2025, the husband subjected his wife to a humiliating and sustained sexual assault over three hours. He invited Alan Keelan, 42, an industrial cleaning firm worker from Wythenshawe, into the home. Keelan climbed on top of the unconscious woman, who was wearing black women’s knickers, and attempted to have sex with her before assaulting her. He denies attempted rape and assault by penetration.
In July 2025, the husband contacted Richard Townsend, 38, a sheet metal worker from Heywood. Townsend was aware the woman was not conscious when he sexually assaulted her, assisted by the husband. The pair stopped when the woman became restless and began stirring. Townsend denies assault by penetration.
In August 2025, Jonathan Kirk, 43, a paramedic from Stockport, first met the husband at his own house, where he was shown photographs of the woman passed out and being abused. Kirk warned that drugging his wife could be very dangerous. He later took a taxi to the home. Oakley noted that as a senior paramedic, Kirk was trained to spot unconsciousness. After having intercourse with the woman, Kirk stood up and commented on how great it had been. He denies rape and conspiracy to rape. The trial continues.
