El Al will launch a summer schedule featuring 63 weekly flights to the Americas, adding new departures to Miami and Los Angeles. The airline stated that the expanded timetable will begin in late March and provide approximately 35,000 seats per week between Israel and its destinations in the region. This represents the carrier's largest summer operation for the area to date.
The new services will cover seven airports across six metropolitan areas. The New York region will receive the majority of the capacity, with 36 weekly flights split between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport. On certain days, the schedule will include up to seven departures to these two hubs. Together, the New York services account for more than half of the total weekly flights announced.
Miami will see an increase of two weekly flights, bringing its total to nine. Los Angeles will gain one additional service, also reaching a weekly total of nine. This parity in frequency distinguishes these two markets from Boston, which is scheduled to receive four flights per week. The expansion allows the airline to maintain equal service levels for its two largest U.S. destinations outside the New York corridor.
The remaining routes in the announcement include three direct flights per week to San Francisco and two weekly flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina. El Al indicated that the expansion responds to rising demand from both business and leisure travelers. The airline also linked the schedule increase to its goal of strengthening ties with Jewish and Israeli communities throughout the Americas.
All flights in the new timetable will offer economy, premium, and business classes. The carrier will also utilize its Dreamliner cabin experience on these routes. El Al cited its partnership with Delta Air Lines as a key factor in providing onward connections for passengers traveling beyond the direct destinations.
Shlomi Zafrani, El Al's vice president of commerce and sales, described the additions as a reflection of continued investment in the American market. He noted that the expanded timetable is part of the company's strategy to grow its operations and presence across the region.
